Who gave sleepless nights to Shaheer Sheikh?

Navya fame, Shaheer Sheikh feels blessed to play the iconic role of Lord Arjun on Star Plus’ magnum opus Mahabharat. But it was not a cake walk for him to step into the shoes of a completely different character, and it rather was an intricate task to complete. He had spent sleepless nights before foraying in the role.

“I am very excited and I am enjoying every bit of it. Playing the character of Arjun is a challenging task and I like taking up challenges. The show Mahabharat has given me sleepless night, I just couldn’t stop thinking about it. It’s a once in a life time opportunity for me and I don’t want to leave it at any cost,” said Shaheer, who was also seen in a Teri Meri Love Stories on Star Plus. Read more…

Chhavi Pandey to feature in Cinevistaas’ Daag!

Star Plus is set with a programming change this year and there are several shows lined up for telecast in 2013. In the year 2012, we had come across the news about Cinevistaas Production, makers of Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai on Star, coming up with a show loosely based on Bollywood flick Khoon Bhari Maang featuring Rekha.

The show tentatively titled as Daag is in its primary stage and is currently busy with the casting. First it was reported that Tarzan: The Wonder Car fame Vatsal Seth would be seen playing the male lead in the show. And now the buzz states that beautiful actress Chhavi Pandey has been approached to play the role of the main lead. Read more…

People started recognizing me after Anamika, says Mudit Nayar!

After moving to Mumbai in 2009, Mudit Nayar was doing commercials and then got a few roles on the TV shows like Palampur Express, and an episode in Teri Meri Love Stories on Star Plus. He is currently seen in Sony TV’s horror based show Anamika.

Mudit said, “I am super elated to be a part of Anamika, but I have a small grouse against the people who feel I am a newcomer. On the contrary, I have done a couple of shows and quite many advertisements too. May be I wasn’t known earlier. It’s only after people have seen me as a lead in Anamika that I have been recognized. Frankly speaking, I like every aspect of the show and so do my parents who are proud of me.” Read more…

Avinash Sachdev moves into business!

Actor Avinash Sachdev rose to fame playing Dev in Zee TV‘s Chhoti Bahu. Not just this, he even got to meet his Rubina Dilaik through the show, who played Radhika in the daily.

Both are very much in love and happily together. Ever since Choti Bahu has gone off air, we have not seen much of the two on TV screen. Though Rubina was seen in a special appearance in Sony TV‘s Saas Bina Sasural, Avinash remained away from daily soaps post Chhoti Bahu and was only seen in an episode of Teri Meri Love Stories. Known for her subtle act in Zee TV’s Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, actress Divyanka Tripathi will now be seen making a special dance appearance in Zee TV’s Ramayan.

Talking of the same, she said, “We finished shooting for the same yesterday. In his want to delay Ram and Sita’s wedding beyond the opportune time, Sun God assumes the form of a beautiful apsara i.e. me. Entertaining the masses since 1993 with its enthralling television dailies and Hindi movies, Cinevistaas Limited is a renowned media company in India. Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Dil Dostii Dance, Dill Mil Gayye, Jai Mata Ki are few of its popular shows on television.

Now latest we have gathered is that the makers are soon coming with a new fiction show for Star Plus which is tentatively titled Daag. The story is said to be based on popular Bollywood movie Khoon Bhari Mang in which the female lead returns to take revenge. The female lead we hear will have a Bengali background. Read more…
