So far it has been seen that Kunal’s mother Kamini (Shweta Gautam) is not happy with the over friendliness of Kunal towards Shraddha and her son. But now the couple will get to enjoy some moment of togetherness in a very different manner. And in an attempt to resolve differences Kunal will organize a badminton match between both the families. Meri Bhabhi to introduce a new character in Shweta Mahadik!

Television actress Shweta Mahadik, who earlier appeared in shows like Sujata on Sony TV, Devi on Imagine TV and few other Marathi serials, has bagged a prominent role in Star Plus’ family show Meri Bhabhi, which is being produced by DJ’s A Creative Unit. She is roped in to play the suitor for Kunal, essayed by Ravish Desai.

Her character will be a well educated and very Indian in her thoughts, charming and innocent. As seen Kunal’s mother Kamini (Shweta Gautam) is searching a suitable bride for her son, she will in the coming episode lend in Shweta and decide to make her daughter-in-law. “Kamini along with Kittu (Esha Kansara) and Kunal will see a girl for alliance. Kanchi Kaul is living best phase of life with hubby and in-laws!

Unlike her on screen husband and in laws on Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chabi Meri Bhabhi, who are not modest towards Shraddha (Kaanchi’s screen name), Kanchi Kaul has a nice, honest and loving family in real life. She married TV actor Shabbir Ahluwalia in 2011 and said she is lucky to have most awesome set of in-laws who take care of everything.

Kanchi, well known for her roles in telly shows Bhabhi and Maayka, returned to television after a hiatus of four years. Talking about the gap, she said, “After marriage, Shabbir and I were travelling to different places for one year, we were on a long honeymoon! Post getting over with his short sabbatical from prime time dailies, Vipul Gupta is back as Anand Shergill in Star Plus’ Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi…Meri Bhabhi.

During his stay away from TV, Vipul made his foray into Hind films. On being quizzed over his feelings to have returned to the wide world of daily soaps, Vipul said, “It is difficult to work when your schedules are tight and since the show’s just started, there’s no high drama either, the plot’s building up, so you have to be patient. Add to that the rains have also made things more difficult for us. Post shooting, it takes me two and half hours to travel just six kilometers! It’s a small miracle if you can even reach your work place on time”. Read more…
