Karan Kundra buys a new apartment with his own salary!

Television heart throb turned Bollywood actor Karan Kundra is on high these days. He made his foray in tinsel town with Mahesh Bhatt’s Horror Story that apparently proved a right vehicle for him to start acting career in films. His acting has been appreciated by critics as well as audience. He also did some good Punjabi films, like Pure Panjabi, Jatt Romantic among others. His film is Control Paaji Control, which is said to be a comedy film.

The handsome actor has recently bought a spanking three-bedroom apartment in Mumbai. Karan said, “Yes I have purchased a three-bed room hall apartment in Yari Road, Mumbai. A sea facing house, it has a beautiful sunrise and sunset view. I like places which are well lit and have natural wind blowing across. For me a house should be well ventilated, not too much occupied and should give a homely feeling.” Read more…

Splitsvilla star Arjit Taneja to join Bade Acche Lagte Hain cast!

Sony Entertainment Television’s Bade Acche Lagte Hain, presented by Balaji Telefilms of Ekta Kapoor is soon to witness a new entry in Splitsvilla Season 6 fame Arjit Taneja. His entry will happen post seven years leap in the show.

It was reported earlier that television’s young actress Fenil Umrigar has been roped in to play Pihu, Ram (Ram Kapoor) and Priya Kapoor’s (Sakshi Tanwar) adorable daughter. According to the sources, Arjit Taneja will make a cameo appearance and hit on Pihu. He will be seen exchanging numbers with Pihu at a party in a sequence post the leap. Karan Kundra helps fight crime!

 Karan Kundra, the popular host of Gumrah, the TV show which brings to light some real life teen crime cases, recently had a close encounter of the criminal kind. Recently, he was shooting adjacent to the Ghatkopar Railway Station in Mumbai, on the skywalk. The only people accompanying him on that rainy night were the director, cameraman and the attendant.

Just as the director yelled Action, Karan saw a man running towards him, with cops chasing him. When he heard them yelling at the man, he knew that this was a police chase in progress. Karan said, “We got a call from the production team that a lot of top cops were in the vicinity. I realized something was wrong. My cameraman then tried to stop the guy but he was pushed. When the guy was crossing me, I reacted instinctively. Though he threatened to kill me if I tried to stop him, I kicked him and he fell. Within minutes, the cops came, picked him up and took him away.” Read more…

He never imagined he will go this far when he stepped his first foot in the fascinating world of television. Karan Kundra began his career doing acting with Imagine TV’s hit show Kitni Mohabbat Hai and then his career took a turn where he become an anchor, circumstantially.

Channel V’s Gumrah is back with Season 3!

After the roaring success of its first two seasons, Channel V‘s flagship show Gumrah is back for Season 3. Starting 7th July’13, every Sunday at 7pm, the brand new episodes will continue to unravel heinous teen crimes in our society and the circumstances which make criminals out of the youth. Taking a step ahead from the earlier seasons, Season 3 will focus on equipping the youth to avoid being victimized by the criminal elements at large in the society; thus focusing on the thought – “Be Aware, Be Prepared, Be Safe”.

Not only has Gumrah found favour with audiences over two seasons, it also recently won the Best Non-Fiction Show at the prestigious Indian Telly Awards. After enthralling television audience with brilliant stints in Kitani Mohabbat Hai (KMH) Season 1 and 2, Karan Kundra went on to wide his horizons by anchoring Channel V’s youth show Gumraah- The End Of Innocence.

The heartthrob is now gearing up to weave his magical charm on big screen and if reports to be believed the debut venture will be helmed by well-known filmmaker Vikram Bhatt. According to the media reports, Karan has been signed for three-film contract by Bhatt champ and his first film would be a horror flick which is expected to hit theatres sometime next month, August. Karan Kundra is one lad from the entertainment industry who seems to have consciously chosen to be different about his choices on TV.

He started off his career playing the lover boy in two seasons of Kitni Mohabbat Hai and later turned the most acclaimed host for Channel V’s Gumraah. He even starred in one of TV’s most controversial shows, The Serial. Speaking of his career graph, Karan said, “I started with fiction in Kitni Mohabbat Hai and then did two more shows with Ekta Kapoor.  Karan Kundra is back as the energetic host of Channel V‘s Gumrah all over again! And this time excitement is double as he has his co-host in the vivacious Chitrangada Singh.

The Season 3 of Gumrah, produced by A Lost Boy Productions and Balaji Telefilms will launch on 7 July 2013 at the 7 pm slot on Sunday. The famous youth show Gumraah-The End Of Innocence is back to enthrall masses with season 3. The Lost Boy Production is in collaboration with Balaji Telefilms had introduced concept of juvenile crime through Gumraah to its audiences.

And if believe the sources, Bollywood hottie Chitrangada Singh will be hosting the opening episode of the show along with Karan Kundra.  Talking about the new season, Vikas Gupta, producer of The Lost Boy Production said, “Karan is the face of Gumraah, and the show will be incomplete without him. He was busy with his film’s shoot in Punjab, and this is why we decided to shoot the first promo without him.
