Uttaran likely to bid adieu on January 2014!

The latest grapevine in small screen world is that Colors’ long running and 1000 episodes show Uttaran is finally going off air. Yes, you read it correct! The show which ruled millions of hearts with its captivating storyline and commendable cast will soon bid adieu to its audiences and the channel.

Buzz has that Colors’ is gearing up to launch some new shows to its audience and to make space for the same it has decide to pull off curtain on Filmfarm Porductions’ Uttaran. “The show has received a notice from the channel to wrap up the story by January 2014. However, there are possibilities of the show to sustain for a few more months only if the makers fetch the required TVTs,” sources said. Read more…

Do Dil Ek Jaan team to witness a replacement from Shilpa Shinde to Pragati Mehra!

It seems Shilpa Shinde’s loss has turned veteran actress Pragati Mehra’s gain. The former actress, who played prominent role of Daya Mai in Life OK’s family show Do Dil Ek Jaan, produced by Nautanki Telefilms, has reportedly got hurt and injured her arm seriously. She fractured her arm thus she was reluctant to continue with the project.

The actress was disappointing that she has to leave the show when it was on its peak and her character was being liked by all. The makers have already decided her replacement to be veteran actress Pragati Mehra, who is well known for her stints in Uttaran, and will also be seen doing a cameo role in Life OK’s Tumhari Paakhi. Fans like my new look and role in Sasural Simar Ka, says Rohit Khurana!

Telly world’s new baddy Rohit Khurana, better recognized as Shaurya Singhania of Sasural Simar Ka, says he is enjoying doing experiment with his new character. He also said that he loves to add his own creativity to the characters without interfering in the script of creative team. For Shaurya’s role he has added some of his own short dialogues, like what crap, shuup up, which all he used to speak in his own accent.

Rohit, last seen in Uttaran said, “I like characters where I have the freedom to add to my style – like Shaurya has certain nuances like twisting his neck saying shut up as shuud up or using the word what crap. I have added all of these to my character. None of this was a part of the script.” Read more…

No more Friday telecast for Uttaran and Bani!

With Anil Kapoor’s much-awaited crime thriller serial 24 coming from 4 October 2013, the channel Colors will see some minor programming changes. From the upcoming Friday, Filmfarm India’s Uttaran, which is slated to air from 10 to 10:30 pm and Mystic ProductionsBani- Ishq Da Kalma aired from 10:30 to 11 pm, Mon-Sat, will go on air only Monday-Thursday. The Friday and Saturday time slot of 10 to 11 will be taken by Anil Kapoor’s 24.

“24 will air every Friday and Saturday from 10 to 11 pm. Thus, the shows that are currently airing at this slot will not be aired on these two days. While on Saturday its K9 productionsComedy Nights With Kapil will also see a change,” report said. Popular show Comedy Nights With Kapil will air only on Sundays from this week to make way for 24. Uttaran was a beautiful and learning experience, says Praneeta Sahu!

Television actress Praneeta Sahu, who is currently seen as Surbhi in the daily soap Uttaran on Colors, will soon take an exit from the show. It was recently reported that Surbhi will die post the delivery of her baby. She has already shot her last episode for the show and says she is leaving the show with memories of a beautiful and learning experience.

Praneeta plays negative character since March 2012 when the show’s narrative took a leap of 18 years. “Initially, my character was not that much important, but slowly it evolved and I got to play a grey shade. I played a negative then positive. There was huge up and down in the character and I got to learn a lot. It has been a beautiful journey,” said the beautiful actress. Read more…

Uttaran to witness high-end drama with Rathore’s way out of jail!

Filmfarm India’s family show Uttaran has been throwing in high-voltage drama that will go double soon in the coming episode when Raghuvendra Pratap Rathore (Gaurav Chopraa) comes out of the jail. This sequence will be an action-packed one where Rathore will be seen moving out of the jail post bashing up rapists.

In the coming episode, Rathore somehow gets to learn about the death of Ichcha’s (Tina Dutta) daughter-in-law Surbhi (Praneeta Sahu). Yes, Surbhi’s character will exit from the show post the delivery of her baby. “But just before he is about to move out, two men in the jail will pass a comment on him. Their remark will agitate Rathore but he will decide on letting it go. However, that’s when he will learn that they were involved in a gang rape and he will start bashing them up. Read more…

Sony TV’s CID joins 1000 episode club!

After Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Balika Vadhu, Uttaran, Pavitra Rishta and few more, the latest one to join the 1000 episode club is CID of Sony TV. The crime based series completed its 1000 episodes on 27 September, 2013. The series was premiered on 29 April 1997 and is the longest running TV series in India, having completed sixteen years in 2013.

CID has always come up with innovative ideas and has managed to win the hearts of millions every time by its power packed episodes.
