 Rajat Tokas seems to be the favorite when it comes to essaying historic characters on screen. The juvenile lad, who was seen in Ekta Kapoor’s Tere Liye as the parallel lead, had rose to fame playing young Prithviraj in the epic saga Prithviraj Chauhan.

And now we will see him another mighty historic look as he takes on King Akbar in Ekta’s Jodha-Akbar to be aired on Zee TV. Rajat is certainly glad over the role and feels that he has yet again be favored by lady luck. Also he added that playing historic characters helps one show off the potentials fully. Rajat shared, “It’s not about coming back to historical shows or I am in love with historical characters but yes it’s true that I like these characters as I love playing a man. Anupriya Kapoor might be seen in Ekta Kapoor’s next on Star Plus!

After making shows on the lines of Bollywood films and few international shows and films, like Pyaar Ki Ye Ek Kahaani and Kya Huaa Tera Vaada inspired by The Twilight Saga and Biwi No 1 respectively, TV czarina Ekta Kapoor seems to have developed a liking for Manju Kapur‘s novel Custody.

It is being heard that Ekta now wants the small screen adaptation of this novel that primarily highlights the aspects of matrimony. The show in talks is said to be made for Star Plus and buzz states that Balaji Telefilms is keen to get their Taani aka Anupriya Kapoor back for the same. New TV channel Life OK has certainly managed to entertain the viewers with its popular drama shows. And its growing popularity has invited many production houses to start new ventures, and the latest to add to this list is Sphere Origins productions.

Buzz has it that they are planning to launch a light-hearted show on the channel with Abhishek Sharma (Miley Jab Hum Tum fame), Neha Saxena (last seen in Tere Liye), and a new comer Udit Shukla in pivotal roles.
