Gurmeet Chaudhary likely to make Bollywood debut soon!

Telly favorite Gurmeet Chaudhary is likely to make Bollywood debut in the directorial debut of choreographer Swaroop Raj Medara. The film would be based on dance and Gurmeet, well known for his dancing skills (winner of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and currently seen in Nach Baliye) would see playing a dancer. The film is expected go on the floor in March or April 2014.

On being quizzed about the report, Gurmeet said, “I have been approached for the film and had a meeting with the makers but it is not finalised yet because I have not said yes or no yet; I want to focus only on Nach Baliye season 6 as of now.” The Geet actor also informed that he is currently in talks with others directors for his debut film. He said he has had meetings with a couple of more directors and producers since Punar Vivah (Zee TV) ended. “Other than dance films, I have been getting a lot of offers for romantic and action films, too,” averred Gurmeet. Success hasn’t changed me, I’m still very grounded, says Drashti Dhami!

Telly favorite Drashti Dhami, who credits success to her hit show like Dill Mill Gyye, Geet Hui Sabse Parai and Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, says the dynamics of being a TV star has never affected her at all. The winner of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 6, who accommodated dates and time for Jhalak rehearsals and Madhubala, says except her hectic shoots, nothing has changed. She is still a grounded person, who spends time with family and friends on regular bases.

“The dynamics of being a TV star has not affected me at all. I am the same Drashti that I was when I started doing TV. I haven’t changed as a person. I am very grounded. Even now, I go back to my family, meet my friends and all others, like I used to earlier. Honestly, TV fame has not affected me at all. Vikas Sethi is back in t-town with Film Farm India’s upcoming show for Zee TV!

After being a part of Ekta Kapoor’s hits dailies like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin Toh Hoga, Kyun Hota Hai Pyaar and Kasautii Zindagi Kay, television smarty Vikas Sethi is making his ways back to the town. He is returning after two long year’s gap with Film Farm India’s forthcoming show for Zee TV.

Vikas, who has also teamed with the production house in Chausath Panne for a cameo role in Uttaran, will essay son of veteran actor Alok Nath in the new show. “I cannot talk anything at the moment. I have been away from television and this marks a major comeback for me,” said Vikas, who last seen in Star One’s Geet Hui Sabse Parayi. Read more…

Endemol India’s Devki for Life OK gets scrapped!

Production house Endemol India has given some of the path breaking daily soaps in the past like Sabki Laadli Bebo, Geet Hui Sabse Parayi, Miley Jab Hum Tum, and Dharampatni amongst many. And they were in talks with channel Life OK for their next Devki.

But if believe the latest buzz coming from the world of daily soaps then this show has been scrapped by the channel. It is notable that the show was to star actors like Divyanka Tripathi, Mrunal Jain and Gopi Desai. Trusted sources even state that the show was loosely based on Bollywood film Bhool Bhoolaiya starring Akshay Kumar, Shiney Ahuja, Vidya Balan and Amisha Patel. Read more…

Sonali Nikam offered the lead role in Kaali- Ek Punar Avatar!

Just a day before it was brought into your notice that Shakuntalam Telefilm‘s new crime series Kaali- Ek Punar Avatar, which was previously titled as Nyaay, is all set to hit the small screen very soon.

The show, which is said to be loosely based on Nitish Katara murder case, has a plot where one will witness a mother’s fight and struggle to get justice for her son. We also hear that Anshul Trivedi of Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki fame has been roped into play the role of the main lead on the show whereas Mangal Kenkre of Dirty Picture fame will essay his mother. Buzz states that she will be seen in upcoming Crime Patrol, aired on Sony TV, episodes after a sabbatical of eight months. Sources confirm that the Crime Patrol episodes starring her, is about a photographer who was murdered. Melanie plays the role of a model who would pose for photo shoots for the photographer.
